Wrinkle formation during web manufacturing or at any stage during its processing is inevitable.

There are varieties of anti crease devices manufactured by ‘ARVIND’ like RUBBER EXPANDERS / WRINKLE REMOVERS for removing the wrinkles, suitable for different web material and different processes.

This is the most commonly used wrinkle remover device. It mainly consists of bowed shaft, metal segments, sealed ball bearings, abrasion resistant rubber sleeve or hard chrome plating etc.
‘ARVIND’ makes Expander Rollers (Bow Rollers) having wide range of dimensions and suitable for varieties of applications and web materials. Rollers are supplied with mounting brackets and gear box which could be either Wall Mounted or Foot Mounting.

Polyband Expander

This device is used where rubber expander rollers are not suitable. Polyband Expander is very much essential for the thin web, 10 microns and less. Polyband expander performs outstandingly well for separating the web after slitting irrespective of its thickness. This device is also very much useful in processing PP and HM. Polyband expander performs without any limitation of lead-in : lead-out distances and best results are obtained with wrap angle of 90 degree. Depending upon web material and web thickness, we need to adjust stretch, touch-in and touch-out points.

Main components of a Polyband Expander are aluminum pipe, highly elastic polymer cord and stretching assembly fixed on both ends etc.

Rubber Grooved Spreader Roller

When web is having a very delicate layer, as in case of metalized film, neither rubber expander roller nor polyband expander are suitable for the purpose.

For such type of applications, rubber grooved spreader rollers are ideal. They are basically rubber rollers having unique groove pattern on rubber surface. The cushioning and resonance are achieved due to groove pattern, which makes these rollers capable of handling delicate films without any damage during wrinkle removing process.

In recent time rubber grooved rollers are very widely used on Film Plants as a wrinkle remover, since it does not damaged the film of any gauge due to resonance effect which gives minimum stretch to the film and reduced contact area between wrinkle remover and film.
